The location of the hotel is a little far from the main road and that's the only drawback. The rooms are great, cozy and the view is amazing with snow covered pine trees between the snow clad mountains. Away from the buzz. The food is great and also the staff members are very cooperative and friendly. Do not miss the egg fried rice, chicken soup, hot chocolate, cheese sandwich 😍
Gulmarg - Kashmir is one of the most famous destinations in India for skiing and snow boarding. People from all over the world come here in winter to enjoy sports. There are full time trainers who teach you to ski or snow board.
There is the bunny hill for beginners and then phase one for intermediate students. You can reach this phase using a gondola. Also, for experts, you can go to marry shoulder using a chair lift.
You can reach phase two using worlds highest gondola (cable car). The view from phase two is breath taking. Do carry sunglasses when you visit this place.

2019 was my second year of skiing and it was a 7 day trip from 4th March to 10th March. On the first day I went skiing with my trainer on the bunny hill. He taught me to use a pole lift, I don't know what it's called, but was super fun. I finally gained my lost confidence as I was skiing after 2 years. The year before 2018 was a gap for me.
The next day, I started skiing from phase one. I did 3 rounds and I was exhausted.
On the third day, I did 5 rounds. Well, improvement.
I dedided to take a video the next day to show it to my parents as they had not accompanied me. 1st round, well I fell a few times. Second round, just twice. Third round, I did not fall even once!
Now it was time for a perfect video.
Unfortunately, as the snow had melted to become ice, skiing on this day was dangerous. But I paid no attention and banged into a heap of snow.
I fell on my knees, lucky no fracture, just a partial ligament tear, came back to my room.
I was unable to walk, went on bed rest for the remaining trip. And that was the end of the season for me. A tear drop rolling. Perks: Finally, could talk with my boyfriend for hours as he was abroad. 😆
Prerequisite for sports: 50 squats everyday for atleast a month to build your lower body strength.
Peak season for sports: February and March.
