As I step in a charming space called 'Pastiche',   I am all set to unravel a 'Story of Art' on every plate. And that's exactly what I read when I open the artistic menu diary that looks more like a Picture Postcard. By now I understand the ethos of this place - how beautifully it pays tribute to bistro culture in a rare elegance of art, design and cuisine synergy.

Textured walls, warm lighting, and vintage-style seating with traditional textile, the ambiance exudes old world charm and elegance, complemented by artistic touches and flair.

Culinary Delight !

And so my culinary journey begins ..... I meet the chief maestro of Pastiche - Chef Madhav Sukhija who explains, "Having worked in Michelin starred kitchens, I have learnt that best dishes are the ones that tell stories." And indeed, every dish beautifully presented has a tale to tell - of the ingredient or the technique or an idea along the way! The inspiration comes from classic European recipes but what lends a character to every dish is the touch of chef Madhav's flair. And that's the surprise element to pique diners' interest.

As I go through the menu, and feel like ordering almost every dish, I let Chef Madhav lead the show and wow me with his picks. Out comes Mushroom Cappuccino Soup paired with black garlic brioche; Green Goddess Salad, a fresh mix of kale, avocado, and confit lemon vinaigrette; Pasta in tangy outstanding ten hour stewed Roma tomato sauce, garnished with Himalayan Parmesan, my favourite.

The menu is selective with hot stars like Lobster Ravioli, served with a luxurious saffron bisque. Looking for something heartier, the Pressed Pork Belly with port sauce offers a rich, decadent main course option. Every dish from small plates to main course and all day breakfast showcases a fusion of nostalgia and curiosity, evoking the comfort of traditional European flavors with a creative, modern approach.

With every bite, I remembered chef Madhav's words - "We have curated dishes that are comforting yet inspires curiousity." Bold twists make the food uniquely Pastiche's. That's how I bundled up joy in unforgettable flavors and stories on my plate this afternoon.
