19th AUG, 2019 - Started my journey on my HARLEY DAVIDSON 883 from Pathankot to Dalhousie @0900 hrs. The distance is 80 Km which can be covered easily in 2 hrs and 30 min. But it took me 3 hrs to reach @1200hrs my destination due to irrelevant breaks for tea and clicking pictures. The roads were not in good condition but still after few Kms you'll find it normal. After reaching Dalhousie I went to small Tibetan market, St. John's Church but I didn't found anything interesting in near by area so I had lunch in a small shop and headed towards Dainkund peak @1400 hrs which is 13 km from main market and took 40 minutes. I took 30 minutes to reach top of the peak as I'm a sports person but on an average we can say it's easy to reach in 90-120 min. Dainkund peak is at height of 2755 m. I would suggest you all to visit this peak because it's not much crowded and you'll get very amazing views. There is a temple as well at the top and few shops. After coming down @1630 hrs I headed towards Khajjiar which is 17 km away which took 40 min. In that same route kalatop wildlife sanctuary is also there. Khajjiar is a place where you can invest your 30-35 min just for clicking pics. After relaxing for a while @1800 hrs I moved towards Dhramshala which is 121 km via Jot. I'd not suggest anyone to follow this route because due to bad weather and bridge construction I waited for 30-40 min and somewhere the route was only for 2 wheelers and it was bit adventures to ride in that route because I was not able to found any vehicle for 30-40 km so you need courage as well to ride in that route. I didn't took even a small break and reached Dhramshala @2230 hrs after that I had my dinner outside and moved to my Hotel.
Due to bad weather I dropped my plan for Triund treak which was at my top of the list but I dropped it. I started my day a bit late @1100 hrs but still it was drizzling so i went to Dalai Lama's main Temple which is just 5.5 km but route is very inclined. We saw whole temple and went to Bhagsu NagTemple via MacLeodganj. It's a very ancient Temple & a waterfall is behind that Temple which gives a very pleasant view. Than I went to Dhramshala Cricket Stadium which is 12 km away. Stadium gives a very good view and per person charge is Rs 20/- for enterance & after doing lunch in near by restaurant I moved towards my destination Pathankot and covered 87 km in 90 min.
