Day 5

All of a sudden the weather was completely changed. It started raining which was unfavourable conditions for paragliding which is disappointing. Expecting a little hope that the weather might change and we can go for paragliding and we sat in the common room and looking at the sky.

After 2hrs 30min we arrived at Baijnath for a lunch stop and bought some fruits and ate on the bus. Finally, after 4hrs we reached Bir road from there we had to walk almost 2.5km which took 30min to reach Zostel Bir 2.0. Finally, we made it after a long journey and we are excited to see the place which was a hell of a place because it wasn’t like other Zostels it was colourful and has its vibes.

So, we took some nice pictures and looking for some dinner options. On the way back to the cafe we returned our bicycles. Unfortunately, Losar continues so we saw only "Vairagi Cafe" was open and ordered Butter Chicken with Roti. After completing the dinner we headed back to Zostel and slept.

Our next place was “The Northern Café” the route was very narrow and the weather is chilly couldn’t see anything in front. So, we switched on the mobile torch and following maps and finally reached the location.

We see a lot of solo travellers coming to Zostel so, we met Shakul and discussed the plan for the day. We decided to visit monasteries in Bir. So we headed towards “Chokling Monastery” which is was quite beautiful and the monks were looking good in their attire. The place has got positive vibes and felt to stay for a much longer time.

We spent around 30min and went to “Tsering Jong Monastery” which is closed but we sneaked inside the main gate as the temple was closed. This place has colourful writings on stones beautifully painted on it.

Later, we headed back to the Zostel and towards our left side we saw a plain ground tied with prayer flags. So, we went to click pictures the backdrop was amazing.

Today, Ishaan is leaving us and heading back to Delhi without doing paragliding because of bad weather. So, we came to the bus stand to give send-off.

Even though it was raining I and Shakul decided to go for café hopping and try some of their specialities. We had to walk almost 1Km while it was drizzling continuously. Finally, we reached “Himalayan Pizza” as their pizzas are amazing in taste (as per reviews). So, we ordered Non-Veg. Supreme it was piping hot and the taste satisfied our expectations.

It was located on the top with colourful lights and surrounded by farms. We met with two dogs ideally brother and sister both are so amazing yet friendly too. The dining is at upstairs and quickly got into a warm place. In Himachal Pradesh, we need to try tradition food so we ordered Himachali Pulao the taste was decent.

During dinner we met some of our Zostelers and chilled with them for some time and went back to Zostel Today was the last day and I haven't decided where do go next. Let’s see what will happen!

P.S: The day is well spent and tried amazing food.

Happy Travelling :)
