The Blue Cave in Croatia is visited by every tourist who visits the country. And why not? It is one of the most beautiful creations of mother nature.

After a lot of deliberation and research, my friends and I booked our Blue cave tour through the BlueCaveTrip company. It offers a 5-island tour, which also includes the Blue caves. Initially skeptical, we were glad that we ended up taking the tour package offered by this company as it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives. We were given a yacht for our trip and the ride was a smooth one, with no seasickness at all. The crew was super friendly and shared a lot of stories about their time at sea.

The tour started with Vis islands, where the title track for the movie Mamma Mia was shot. We were given an hour to walk through the town but ended up spending most of our time by the beach, near an isolated church. We were also taken to Stiniva bay here, which is a unique structure that connects two villages.

Next, we visited the Paklinski islands, where we were given time off for breakfast. Since there was still a long way to go before lunch, breakfast was extremely essential.

Next, we were taken to Bisevo island for the main attraction, the Blue cave. The Blue Cave is a natural cave and is located in a small bay called Balun, Bisevo. It is one of the most spectacular gems in the Adriatic sea. A waterlogged cave, it has earned its name because of the blue light it emits inside, but the light is not man-made.

During the day, through a very narrow natural entrance to the cave, sunlight reaches the cave's white floor, which in turn reflects it, giving the water the aquamarine color Blue cave is famous for. Because of the narrow entrance to the cave which is almost underwater, the cave was initially accessible only through diving, and people were allowed to swim inside. As it became an increasingly popular tourist destination, a man-made entrance was created and swimming was banned.

At a time, only three small boats can enter the cave and it is extremely narrow and one has to be patient. But the wait is totally worth it. The blue light is enchanting and you can see little fish below the water. Being inside the cave felt like being in the magical world of Disney, it was mesmerizing!

The Blue cave was followed by the Blue Lagoon, where we entered dived in the extremely cold seawater, as summers were just about to begin, and snorkeled. I do remember a lot of saltwater going into my mouth and nose but overall, it was a fun experience.

The Blue Lagoon was followed by the most popular Hvar island, where we halted for lunch. Did you know that Hvar became popular after Prince Harry spent around 9 months there because he fell in love with the beauty of the place?

Our 5-island trip was made even more special by the presence of a celebrity on our yacht, Carolina Rose, a Spotify artist who was shooting for her next album in the Blue Cave. Interacting with her and her crew and watching a real-life photoshoot added to the fun and doubled our excitement.

The Blue cave tour was one of the best things I have ever done and everyone who visits Croatia must not miss this amazing tour. You must definitely not miss the Blue cave. Worth every penny!
