Hotel Ranga in Iceland is offering a free stay for its first-ever official Lights Catcher, the photographer who has an eye to shoot the stunning phenomena for an entire month!
What is the gig all about?
The gig starts from mid-September and ends in mid-October, during which the photographer stays up shooting the night sky to capture the impressive celestial phenomena. You'll be in luck for staying in such an isolated location, that makes it an excellent vantage to see the Northern Lights.
In exchange, the hotel gets the licence over the high quality photos and videos you create as a part of your portfolio.
What are the perks included?
About 90 minutes south of Reykjavík is Hella on Iceland's southern coast, the countryside property has luxury suits featuring an attached balcony with views of the river Ranga winding through the Icelandic countryside. This is your free luxury pad for a month that comes along with other boardings — hot tubs, meals, the hotel’s stargazing observatory, and a retractable roof. Not to forget, rooms feature vast observatory windows to watch the northern lights without having to brave the bone chilling arctic temperatures outside. Sounds too good to be true, right?
