From many days i was planning to go Tirupati balaji temple so i joined various groups on fb and telegram.
One day i got notification that 300 Rs sarvdarshan tickets will be available next day at 9 am so i tried and got darshan date of 30 November but due to heavy rain and other reason my trip got cancelled.
But some says it its god will nobody can stop you so i got free reschedule option and booked darshan for 7 jan 2022.
I started my journey from Jodhpur to Chennai by flight via mumbai but from Mumbai flight got delayed by 3 hour so reached Chennai Airport at 11.30 pm.
My plan was to take metro or local train from thirusulam station to egmore but due to very late landing of flight i had no option.
Cab and auto persons were asking 500 to 800 rs for 20 km but finally one auto stopped and ready to leave me egmore at the price of 250 rs.
Near egmore station i booked hotel and paid 500 rs per night.
My plan was to visit Mahabalipuram on 6 January but hotel manager told me that beaches and its nearby areas are closed and also night lockdown was imposing from that day so i changed my plan and went to Tirupati.
First I took bus from egmore to cmbt Koyembedu and from there madhavaram bus stand which is bus stand for Andhra pradesh buses.
I piad 180 rs from chennai to tirupati and reached Tirupati in 3.30 hr on 6 January .Bus dropped at RTC bus stand.
I booked hotel near RTC bus stand at the price of 400 per day. I took day rest and next day i took bus for Alipiri because i planned to walk Thirumala.
i tasted new sweet bread like dish in tirupati called dilbahar and for food Punjabi dhaba near railway station is good option.
At alpiri i deposited my bag and started the journey. At apliri path no shoes or chappals allowed so one has to walk bare foot.
This path contains approx 3500 steps and few gopurams on the way.
Height of stairs is good so difficulty level is less and also surrounding is very beautiful and you can also spot deers, if lucky.
Total time taken to reach temple premises is 3 hour by walk.
After reaching there me and some other used share cab to reach temple which is 2 km from where we enter.
Cab dropped us where u can go to separate gates according to your ticket and remember traditional dress like shirt and dhoti or kurta pajama is mandatory for darshan.
First they scanned ticket and verify aadhar cards then again bag deposited.
Devotees were chanting govinda govinda and u can feel energy is the environment.
Total time took for darshan ia 1 hour and after darshan i went to ladoo counter to collect ladoo.
One free ladoo is included in special darshan pass and for extra I paid 50 rs per ladoo.
After that collected my bag and took RTC bus to reach Tirupati (fare 65 rs).
After reaching there i took rest because there was train at night to Bangalore and i was going to my sister home.
One thing i would like to mention that tea in Tirupati is amazing and food from Punjabi dhaba (near railway station) was awesome.
Nexr day 8 January reached Bangalore and spending a day at Bangalore took flight to jaipur and from there bus to reach my hometown Jodhpur.
Govinda govinda
Notes -
1-public transport is good and economical in south so use if u r solo or on budget trip.
2-In Tirupati buses to Thirumala and alpiri path available from 4 am so no need to use cab or auto.
3-Alpiri walk path level is easy but if u r cardiac patient or Bp patient then avoid and better to use bus.
