Travelling via Indian Railways? Here is a list of 12 Cancelled Special Trains for next 3 months!

We love to celebrate our holidays or festivals with our loved ones. However, most of the time getting those festive travel tickets are either expensive or sold out. In these circumstances, The Indian Railways have always helped us visit places during the festive seasons by operating special trains, making it easier to book those last-minute tickets.

The Railways have now decided to cancel some special trains from December 2021- February 2022. Western Railway (WR) announced six pairs of special trains between Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat would remain cancelled from 1st December to 28th February. The Railways had started nearly 668 special trains during the festive season to avoid the rush of passengers. Many trains were operated only for Diwali and Chhath Puja 2021.

Why were the trains cancelled?

Railways have decided to cancel several trains during the winter season due to operational reasons.

How has the Indian Railways helped Passengers?

Passengers will now be able to prepone or postpone their tickets without cancelling their tickets. You will now also be able to change the boarding station by applying in writing to the station manager or visiting a computerised reservation centre 24 hours before travel.

List of Trains Cancelled.

1. 05068 Bandra Terminus - Gorakhpur weekly special running every Friday to remain cancelled from December 3 to February 25.

2. 05067 Gorakhpur - Bandra Terminus weekly special running every Wednesday to remain cancelled from December 1 to February 23.

3. 09017 Bandra Terminus - Haridwar weekly special running every Wednesday to remain cancelled from December 1 to February 23.

4. 09018 Haridwar - Bandra Terminus - weekly special running every Thursday to remain cancelled from December 2 to February 24.

5. 09403 Ahmedabad - Sultanpur weekly special running every Tuesday to remain cancelled from December 7 to February 22.

6. 09404 Sultanpur - Ahmedabad weekly special running every Wednesday to remain cancelled from December 8 to February 23.

7. 09407 Ahmedabad - Varanasi weekly special running every Thursday to remain cancelled from December 2 to February 24.

8. 09408 Varanasi - Ahmedabad weekly special running every Saturday to remain cancelled from December 4 to February 26.

9. 09111 Valsad - Haridwar weekly special running every Tuesday to remain cancelled December 7 to February 22.

10. 09112 Haridwar - Valsad weekly special running every Wednesday to remain cancelled from December 8 to February 23.

11. 04309 Ujjain - Dehradun bi-weekly special running every Wednesday and Thursday to remain cancelled from December 2 to February 24.

12. 04310 Dehradun - Ujjain bi-weekly special running every Tuesday and Wednesday to remain cancelled from December 1 to February 23.

As per reports, the trains might start operations again after February 2022.
