Highlights of Bandung

Taking the road less traveled. Besides the typical popular destinations, take some time off to explore the capital of West Java which offers you stupendous views of waterfall, volcanos and tea plantations. Like any destinations, never forget to indulge in their local delights. Contrary to being a shopping heaven, Bandung is a better option just to enjoy the tranquility of nature.

Cirug Cimahi(Jalan Kolonel Masturi No.325, Kertawangi, Cisarua, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat 40551, Indonesia) One of the tallest waterfall, with a spectacular height of 87m. Located at an attitude of 1,050m above sea level surrounded with cool temperature. But be prepared to descend estimated 506 stairs steps, before being rewarded with this captivating view.

2. Dusun Bambu(Jalan Kolonel Masturi KM. 11, Situ Lembang, Cisarua, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat 40551, Indonesia) Resembling a leisure family resort with playground which is a wonder land to the children; a beautiful lake-view surrounds by old straw huts which are actually dining restaurants; and other interesting grassland and paddy fields for exploration.

7. Strawberry Picking at Natural Resto & Strawberry Land
(Jl. Tangkuban Perahu No. 109, Lembang, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat 40391, Indonesia) Who would have thought of strawberry picking at Bandung? It sounds kind of weird right? What about indulging in cuisine with strawberries incorporated into it? Such as strawberry claypot rice?

8. Saung Gawir

(Jalan Raya Ciwidey – Rancabali KM. 6, Desa Alam Endah, Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia)

It’s a long journey to Kawah Putih, so if you need a pit stop to satisfy your stomach, you can drop by Saung Gawir. Reasonable prices and most importantly, they dish out one of the most deliciously addictive Otak Otak (something like a white fish otah) with accompanying chilli sauce.

9. Kampung Duan

(Villa Triniti, Jalan Sersan Bajuri KM. 4,7, Cihideung, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat 40154, Indonesia)

The ideal place for a good ‘candlelight’ dinner with superb food at affordable prices and a homely, snugly ambiance. Dining in these cozy individual huts surrounded by raindrops sounds from their mini golden waterfall and along a slow lazy mini ‘river’ along the huts is definitely one of the best relaxing remedy after a long day.

10. Harris Festival & Citylink Mall

(Festival Citylink, Jl. Peta No.241, Suka Asih, Bojongloa Kaler, Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat 40231, Indonesia)

One of the best accommodations i would recommend in Bandung! Rooms are clean and spacious. Stable wifi connectivity. Most importantly, it’s conveniently located adjacent to a shopping mall. Shopping and eating have been made easy!

& I would say, there is still so much more to explore in Bandung and its surroundings. Till then we meet again.
