Years back when I had newly joined Facebook, I was tagged in a trending post with some 30 other people. The picture had absolutely romantic vibes. It showed a man knee bent with a ring in front of a girl who needless to say, was all in awe. The caption said, "Plan and fix the best proposal for your best friend, and capture the moment to freeze it for life for her."
Earlier in 2019, I proposed to Neel and we got engaged in August. Soon enough, our wedding talks rushed in with all sorts of emotions. It was totally a ride down the blind lanes and we never knew what would come next and when.
Despite the chaos, somehow both of us managed to fight all odds, together. We visited a lot of places which got us time-travel from all that we left back at our base.
On the onset of 2o20, our travel clock started ticking and we planned our first visit together to Kozhikode to see my best friend. It was in the weekend of February 28. We reached, hired bikes and set off to the much heard of (locally) drive-in beach, Kannur. We crossed all sizes of coconut trees, backwaters, bridges, smooth roads, stopped to savour snacks at local tea stalls.
Kerala always reiterates itself as God’s own country. It was enchanting and Kannur felt like a secret haven of ours with crystal clear waters and shaded blue skies.
Over the years, I was convinced that the dream proposal will stay as a concept, I was proposed in the least expected way cheered by the waves. Guess what, my fiancé and my best friend had planned this!
Also, since he already put a ring on my finger, this proposal was marked with a toe ring.
