Travelling to different places and exploring the beauty of countryside is always astounding but along with travelling the one we always crave for is good food. In North India Chole kulche, Parathas sounds ecstatic, In South India Idli-Dosa Sambhar is delish, In West Vada Pav, Dabelli are moreish, In hill stations Rajma Chawal, maggi and momos are nummy, in East especially Kolkata is a place where one will find the coalition of all the different varieties of scrummy food.
Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal once the capital city of Britishers is known for its culture, architecture and upholds a collocation between the old and the modern one. India’s third largest City, Kolkata, is famous for its energetic and dynamic nature across day and night, unanimous festivals, and succulent food.

Kolkata, the place where I was born, the place where I have grown up, completed my studies, the place where I have roam around and ate different species of street food, the place which I adore and in future wherever I go this is a place which will always hold a special place in my heart as I am a Kolkattan and will always be and especially the taste of food which relish here cant be retrieve any where else.

The most famous and all time favourite street food of kolkatans and I guess of most of the people is Pani puri popularly known as Puchka in Kolkata. The mouth watering snack is all time favourite and is found in almost every street of kolkata. The crisped hollow puris with potato mixture and tamarind water are so lip smacking that once it go inside your mouth you cant wait for the another one. The people travelling to Kolkata must taste this crisped, spicey delicious snacks and one will get famous Churmur also in the same stall the taste of which is also mind blowing. The another famous street food of Kolkata is Jhal Muri. The spicy puffed rice with the assortment of vegetables and spices tastes yum. Eating jhal muri, roaming around in the street of Kolkata with friends making me remember my good old care free days. In the same stall one can get Bhel Muri also. Jhal muri tastes spicy and Bhel Muri tastes sweet and spicy. Samosa, alu chop, kachori are also the famous snacks and the taste is just mouth watering for which people crave for along with the hot tea. Roadside omelette, Kathi roll, Chowmein, Momos tastes so yummy that if you are not hungry or non foodie then also the smell of it cant resist you to stop and eat the tempting cuisine. Luchi-Alu dum, Ghugni chat, Childa, Pav bhaji, are some of the delicacy which served hot will melt into your mouth and you will say Yeh dil maange more.

The food is not complete without the sweets and Kolkata is King of Sweets. Rosogulla, Cham-Cham, Sandesh especially Jaggery Sandesh during winter, Mishti Doi and many more varieties of sweets tastes so yum yum that you will forget about your calories and will be delighted to eat more and more

There are many places to visit in Kolkata like Victoria Memorial, Birla planetarium, Kalighat kali temple, Birla temple, Princep Ghat, Belur Math, Dakshineshwar temple, Park street etc. and shopping malls like South city mall, City Centre1&2, Acropolis, Mani Square,Avani Mall,etc and almost every where outside you will get the queue of eateries providing delicacy of different street foods mentioned above. In shopping areas like Theatre Road, New Market, Camac street, Gariahat, Burra Bazaar, etc people along with shopping enjoy the street food and sometimes it is just that we need an excuse to go and shop and eat. Trust me the food tastes so piquant that you will not think about hygiene, not about your apetite, not about the money in your pocket though the cost is viable only, you will just want to eat and enjoy the every bite of food.
