From M.G.Marg u need to start early in order to reach Lachen.Its a long long drive and the journey is esctatic with the lachen river flowing by the steep cliffs and accompanying you throughout.You will reach lachen after 5 hours almost.Then enjoy a brief walk in the evening,gorge on some dimsums and seat in the balcony of any hotel to close your eyes and feel the gush of the speedy water that lachen river actually is.Enjoy nature for the night and rest.
Start early morning again to experience the play of sunshine on moss covered hills..we actually had two spots to cover..the snow covered Kalapatthar and then the mighty Gurudongmar.We started at 6 a.m in Lachen and reached Kalapathar at 11.30.After dancing in the snow for one hour we headed to Gurudongmar and reached there with a severe headache due to oxygen dip.Our driver gave raw gingers to survive and thus was our brief meet with Gurudongmar
