Day 1

Jabalpur is located at the Humble State of Madhya Pradesh. The name “Jabalpur” integrates from the Arabic word “Jabal”, which means Mountains & the Sanskrit word “Pur” that means City.

Madan Mahal Fort

Balancing Rock

PisanHari ki Madiya is recognized as the Expedition Site for the Followers of Jainism. It is considered that the Temple was constructed by a Poor Women, 500 Years Ago. She was influenced by the teaching of Jain Priests and Since, She didn’t have any Gold or other Luxury Jewels to Donate to Decorate the Temple, So she decided to construct, by her grindstones on the peak of the temple. The Lady was known as “PisanHari” means, One who gains a living by Grinding Wheat in the Grindstone.

The Reality is that the Financially Unsound Lady placed her Source of Income as the Ornament for the Temple, which truely made its value, Diverse.

Day 2

Chausath Yogini Temple

The Chausath Yogini Temple was constrcuted in the 10th Century and its a suitable example of the Perfect and Skilled Structure of the Medieval Times. These Temple is One of the Second Temple of Madhya Pradesh, which is in Jabalpur and the another one is in Khajuraho. It is built by Granite with an Image of Lord Shiva staying in the center of the Temple Complex. Also, there were three portraits sculpted on the Pedestals in the Temple and all those portraits are showcasing different era’s. One portrait relates to Kushan Era, other relates to Gupta’s Era and the Last one is from Kalachuri, which was infamous during the 10th to 13th Century.

Rani Durgavati Museum

The Museum of Rani Durgavati was constructed in 1964, but the Sculptures and Collectables in the Museum brought back to the 10th Century, when Rani Durgavati dominated over the Area. This place is a combination of Sculptures and Portraits, which relates to Gond Dynasty of the 10th Century.

It also showcases some sculptures, which are of Prehistoric Times.

Dumna Reserve
