Mesmerizing Meghalaya

I wanted to address a couple of misconceptions about Meghalaya that I believe need clarification. Firstly, I want to emphasize that there is absolutely no problem regarding the availability of vegetarian food in the region. It's important for travelers to have accurate information when planning their trips

In Shillong, Jiva Veg, located in Police Bazar, is a wonderful restaurant that serves pure vegetarian food. I had the pleasure of dining there and was delighted by the diverse and delicious vegetarian options available. Similarly, in Cherrapunjee, the Orange Restaurant is another establishment that specializes in pure vegetarian cuisine, offering a range of flavorful dishes.

For those looking for vegetarian accommodations in Cherrapunjee, I would recommend the Holiday Resort. Not only do they provide comfortable lodging options, but they also cater to dietary preferences such as Jain food. You can find more information about them on their website at https://cherrapunjee.com/.

In terms of trip planning, I had the privilege of receiving assistance from two individuals who played a significant role in curating my Meghalaya experience. I highly recommend reaching out to them for their expertise:

Pahi: Contact number - 700 2942 956

Kalpa: Contact number - 700 2619 466

They were incredibly helpful in organizing my itinerary and ensuring that every aspect of the trip was taken care of. I have no doubt that they will provide the same level of exceptional service to future travelers.

Lastly, it's important to note that Meghalaya is a destination that involves a fair amount of walking and trekking. The region is renowned for its stunning waterfalls and lush green mountains, which often require traversing hilly terrain. While this offers a unique and rewarding experience, it's advisable to be prepared for physical activity.

It is worth mentioning that Meghalaya may not be the most suitable destination for families with children under the age of eight, as the terrain and activities pose challenges for young ones , at same time it may be challanging for age group more than 50 years and above.
