Day 3

Today we went out to explore with our gears to explore the city, cover the authenticity of the city, the culture the tradition & the first thing we did was click the famous yellow taxi which says "No Refusal" but trust me we were refused thrice by the same. Haha!

We then went to the iconic Maidan pronounced here as "Moidan" which is not just a ground but a chief glory of Kolkata which presents a refreshing appearance to the eyes, with lush spread grass which remains green even in the hot season. It is not only a ground for people to walk, sit & talk about life with friends or the loved ones but also a place where the goatherds herd their goats & stable boys who bring their horses here to graze.⁣

From Maidan you can have a glance of Victoria Memorial which is just a footfall away. After taking a walk at this lush green ground, we decided to explore Victoria Memorial.

Victoria Memorial was so beautiful with marvelous architecture. We couldn't go inside since it was under renovation so we just took a look around the structure from outside.

Day 2

After Reaching Duronto the next day around 10pm in the night, we were so tired that all we did was board the yellow taxi & off to our stay where we crashed for the night.

Day 4

Today we went out early morning to visit the St. Paul cathedral which was near the Victoria memorial but since we were tired the previous day we decided to stop our outing after that.

The Victoria Memorial is a large marble building in Kolkata which was built between 1906 and 1921. It is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria & it is now a museum and tourist destination under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.

We also happened to visit Princep Ghat where we could see local fishermen in their boat going for fishing. On the way we happened to see tram near the maidan & also one which was running in the middle of the road.

Our parents also took us out to Dakshineswar temple, the temple of Goddess Kali Maa. What mesmerized me was the unique architecture of this temple built around the banks of holy river. We couldn't take our camera inside since it was prohibited.
