Hornbill Festival.. A festival organised by Nagaland Govt held at Kisama Heritage Village, 12 km away from state capital Kohima. Nagaland itself is known as the 'Land of Festivals'. This festival is organised every year from 1-10 December to showcase the rich tribal culture of Nagaland. There are 16 major tribes in Nagaland. Each tribe has their indigenous traditions and culture, cuisine, language and attire. During Hornbill Festival, every tribe showcases all these. A must visit to explore the unexplored. And also to try some authentic exotic tribal cuisines and a must try is RICE BEER. And just experience the vibrant tribal people and to enjoy with them... So just put it in your bucket list gals n guys!!! It's simply an amazing experience. And maybe ppl can be concerned regarding safety security.. Don't worry folks naga ppl are very good and helpful.

How to reach :
Dimapur in Nagaland is well connected via railway even Rajdhani and air. Dimapur has an Airport which connects other places of India through Kolkata. From Dimapur Railway station shared taxi, sumo are easily available to reach Kohima. It takes around 3 hours. From Kohima you can easily hire taxi to reach Kisama.
