6. Sadar Bazar- If you want to shop for souvenirs and gifts, pethas; this is the place to be.
After Taj Mahal, we made a stop at Sadar Bazar Agra, for the much-known street food of the city. We tried food from many stalls and ate to our heart's contentment. Do get yourself the famous Petha (an Indian sweet) packed from Panchi Petha before you leave.
We left the show midway and made it to Sadar Bazar by 7. We had skipped lunch and the famed 'khau gali' in Sadar more than made up for it. We filled ourselves up to the brim with crispy tikkis, golgappe and dahi bhalle from the super popular Agra Chaat House. After this we went boot-hunting in the parallel street and weren't disappointed!
As I come out of the Taj, the dusk approached and checked-in to my backpacker hostel. Then I strolled on to the Sadar Bazaar. You can buy leather shoes and taste all kinds of savouries in a gully in Sadar Bazaar. And you must try the restaurant Mama's Franky House. I loved the Lucknowi Biriyani and Lacha Paratha over there.
