Spread across a vast area of 1.8 sq kilometers and having some of the rarest bird species in India, visiting the beautiful the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is an ideal thing to do in Goa for bird lovers. Some of the best species are the little bittern, thered knot, the jack snipe and the famous pied avocet. The ecosystem here is well suited for birds and consists of the think mangrove vegetation. Also present is a watch tower where one can enjoy the bird watch and also collect some wonderful snaps.
