The main attraction of Sarojini Nagar Market is its variety, quality, affordability, and bargaining culture. You can find almost anything you need or want at the market, from branded clothes and accessories to local handicrafts and souvenirs. The market is especially famous for its export surplus and rejected items, which are sold at dirt-cheap prices.

You can get clothes from brands like Zara, H&M, Mango, Forever 21, etc. for as low as Rs. 100-200. You can also find accessories like bags, belts, shoes, sunglasses, jewelry, etc. for a fraction of their original cost. The market also offers a wide range of home decor items like curtains, cushions, carpets, lamps, etc. as well as electronics like mobile phones, laptops, cameras, etc.

The best part about shopping at Sarojini Nagar Market is that you can bargain with the vendors and get even lower prices. The vendors are usually willing to negotiate and offer discounts if you buy in bulk or show interest in their products. However, bargaining requires some skill and patience, as the vendors can be quite stubborn and persuasive. You need to know how to haggle without offending or annoying them.

Some tips on how to bargain at Sarojini Nagar Market are:

1. Start with a low price but not too low that it seems unrealistic or insulting.

2. Be polite and friendly but firm and confident.

3. Compare prices with other vendors and show them that you have done your research.

4. Walk away if you are not satisfied with the price or the quality of the product.

5. Don’t show too much enthusiasm or desperation for the product.

6. Be prepared to pay in cash as most vendors do not accept cards or digital payments.

- Plan your visit ahead of time. The market is open from 10 am to 9 pm on all days except Mondays. The best time to visit the market is in the morning or evening when it is less crowded and hot. Avoid visiting the market on weekends or holidays when it is extremely crowded and chaotic.

- Carry a backpack or a tote bag to store your purchases. The market does not provide any shopping bags or carts, so you need to bring your own bag to carry your items. Avoid carrying too many bags or heavy items as they can slow you down or attract unwanted attention.

- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are easy to change or remove. The market does not have any proper fitting rooms or mirrors, so you need to try on clothes over your own clothes or in front of other shoppers. Wear clothes that are loose-fitting and easy to slip on and off. Wear shoes that are comfortable and sturdy as you will be walking a lot on uneven pavements and roads.

- Carry enough cash and change as most vendors do not accept cards or digital payments. The market does not have any ATMs or banks nearby, so you need to carry enough cash and change for your shopping. Avoid carrying large notes or bills as they can be difficult to break or exchange. Keep your cash and valuables in a safe and secure place like a wallet or a pouch that is close to your body.

- Be aware of your surroundings and stay safe. The market can be quite crowded and chaotic at times, so you need to be alert and vigilant of your surroundings. Beware of pickpockets, scammers, touts, beggars, etc. who may try to steal or cheat you. Do not leave your bags or belongings unattended or out of sight. Do not follow strangers or accept any offers or deals that seem too good to be true. If you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, seek help from the police or security guards who are stationed at the market.

Sarojini Nagar Market Reviews

This day was dedicated to shopping and strolling in the streets of Sarojini Market. You can find some good stuff here. Not a great quality goods though. But worth what you pay for. Stall keepers of leather products try to fool you for original leather. But honestly, there is no leather here. You can buy them though by bargaining for a lesser price than what they quote. You can find dress, night dress, shirts, T-shirts, belt, accessories, shoes, etc, etc what not?! All day strolling, still you'll have something left!! It's great place to spend time with friends. Doing some photography, gosipping, etc. With that, we came back. And the market was at our room now! We were all showing things that we bought from the market and everything was on our beds like we were selling them again! Afterpacking them, we went to bed planning for next day.
1. Shop till you drop at Sarojini/Janpath- Delhi is truly the shopper's paradise. With more than enough options in clothing, shoes, electronics, and jewelry, you will buy a lot and still not find your wallet lighter than before. Due to the great cultural mix, Delhi, as a shopping destination remains unparallel. The city provides shopping opportunities to all consumer types irrespective of age, gender, budget, preference of brand, and retail experience.
The most famous Sarojini Market is heaven for all the women. Starting from cheap clothes to junk jewellery and handbags, sarojini has it all covered. I bought a dress for 150 rs , a kurti for 350 and many pair of earrings for 30 rs each. The market is just few steps away from Sarojini metro station (pink line). Bargaining is must!
Our next stop was the famous shopping hub of Delhi, Sarojini Nagar Market. We booked cab from Hauz Khas. Here is a tip, the availability of cabs maybe very less depending upon the time of the day you are booking. Also, you need to come out of the deer park and wait near the main entrance gate.
S N Market is popular because of its cheap stuff. If you are looking for some cheap and funky clothes then this is a perfect place since it has a lot to offer when it comes to clothes. S N market is famous among college students mainly. It stays open all days except for Mondays.
