Day 1

The mobile networks and signals will give you the cold shoulder as you near the Stone Valley resort in Sakleshpur. That is the Nature's way of telling you to subscribe to "Digital Detox" plan which is of zero cost. Yet you will get signal near the dining area for emergencies. We stayed for 1 night and 2 days. We checked in around 12 PM on day 1. The resort offers beautifully built cottages for you to stay. There is a trail that is laid from the resort to reach the cottage. The rooms are spacious with neatly prepared beds and floors and a tea area with the view of the pool and the resort.

The resort offers various adventure activities, indoor and outdoor games. What caught our eyes the most was "Rope walking". There is a strong rope that's built between two trees. You gotta walk from one end to the other. There is also a huge hammock built on top of a tree for which you have to climb up a steep pole. Make sure to wear Grip shoes. There is a great space around the resort to play Games such as Badminton, Chess, carom, TT etc.

Off the road Jeep safari:

This is the best experience that the resort offers. Pay Rs.500 per person, Get into the open Jeep that will take you on a thrilling ride off the road for about 4 to 5 km one way to the kattikuchi viewpoint. Sitting at the back is one of a kind experience. Although we had to duck down every now and then to avoid being hit by the tree branches, we made sure to enjoy every bit of the nature that was all around us. As the jeep comes to a halt, so does your heart beat. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere yet there is peace and hope as you see the mountains around you.

Campfire and Music:

In the late evening after tea and snacks, there is campfire that is built by the guys at the resort. They also provide DJ with great songs to dance to. You can gobble up your food by the side of the campfire that complements well with the cold winds. If you are lucky, you will get great company from the other guests.

Day 2

It is mandatory to wake up early in the morning if you have planned to get soaked into the experiences of the vacation. The guides took us on a trekking to a sunrise view point. There is nothing like a brisk early morning walk surrounded by just trees and birds chirping and the smell of dew on the trees. As we got back from the trek, the breakfast and beverages were kept hot. There is a trampoline Jump in the open space where we spent great deal of time just jumping and monkeying around. Make sure to sit on the small rocks in the lushy green lawn that looks upon the mountains and take a sip of Tea before you leave.
