Shirdi is an small town located in Maharashtra state of India. Shirdi is known because Sai Baba came to that town and start giving his teachings to his devotees.

We started our journey from Ujjain by road. It took normally takes around 9 hours to complete this journey from Ujjain. We started our journey at 11:00 in the morning and we reached Shirdi at 08:00PM. There are plenty of hotels and plenty of restaurants. The prices of hotels are very high which is a huge drawback if you are a budget traveler. We booked a room of Rs1700 for only two nights. We finished our dinner after reaching there and then we went to our room to take rest because we have to leave for Sai Baba Darshan at 06:00 in the morning.

If you want to do Darshan free of cost then you have to take ticket from the counters and you can do Darshan by giving money so that you will get Darshan very quickly. We took the free of cost line for Darshan and it usually takes 3-4 hours to complete the darshan. The management of Mandir is very good because there are so many devotees and that is very difficult to handle. We did our darshan by 12:00 noon and then we roam around Mandir premises which is maintained very efficiently. After some time we did our Abhishek Aarti and then we visited to Dwarkamai mandir where Sai Baba gives his teachings to his devotees.

We were free by 06:00 in the evening and then we move back to our hotel room because we were exhausted and very tired.

You can cover the Sai baba Mandir in one day but if you want to cover the extra attractions of the city then you have to stay for one day anther.
