Away from the concrete jungles, I found my rescue in Mussoorie. Tired of a monotonous schedule, this hill station served as a retreat for me. Initially I was skeptical that Mussorie won’t serve the purpose as it as always crowded and I won’t find peace but was definitely proved wrong.

Started the trip from Gurgaon at around 12 AM with my friends and after many halts, reached Mussoorie at 10 AM in the morning. After resting for around one hour, we left for Lal Tibba. With many steep rounds and turns, we reached a place with a number of cafes. The one which caught my attention was Char Dukan, as I heard a lot about this place. Being big foodaholics, we almost tried everything we could. Thinking about fried momos and Oreo shake still is watering my mouth.

On arrival at Lal Tibba, the view was mesmerising and I was totally amazed. The best part about the place was there were fewer people and I finally got some peaceful time to spend with myself. Watching the colours of the sky changing from light blue to yellow and orange during sunset was extremely beautiful and satiating.

We left Lal Tibba at around 6:30 and stopped at Cafe Ivy on the way. The entry of this cafe is extremely beautiful, and so are the interiors. Getting pictures clicked at this cafe became our favourite activity. Also, the food was delicious and reasonable.

Later, after a enjoying leisurely walk at the Mall Road, we went back to our hotel. Next morning, after relishing a delicious breakfast buffet, we left for Gun Hill. A trolley ride from the middle of the Mall Road took us to this hill. Frankly, there was nothing in the place which I really admired except the gaming stalls where we spent a really good amount of our money.

Day 2

The last stop of our trip were the Bhatta Falls. Unlike Kempty Falls, this place was not flooded with tourists and is totally worth a visit. We could hear the sound of gushing water from quite a distance. Preparing ourselves to face the Delhi traffic and pollution again, we left the place. The view of that crystal clear water fall is still crystal clear in my mind.
