Thailand has been on my list from a very long time and after a lot research and planning, it finally happened. There are so many things to do in Thailand with such little time. Here are some offbeat things that you might find interesting.

1. Siam Niramit.

Siam Niramit offers memorable acts of Thailand's most colourful festivals and history of Thailand. You can book the show online or buy it at the counter. Your evening starts with an early dinner and pre show activities followed by the main play. Throughout the show, you'll come across Thailand's history and most beautiful and colourful festivals. If you love dancing you can even join the artists in the pre show entertainment. This has been one of the most amazing things I did in Thailand.

Place: Siam Niramit theatres are located both in Bangkok and Phuket.

2. Night market hopping

Bangkok has so many night markets which are open till midnight. Amazing street food, good music and crowd from all over the world. Neon night market and rod fai night market are the ones we loved the most. You can shop your heart out as the prices aren't sky high. Also, you can try this dessert called smoke monster. You can also get a foot massage with the best view of the skyscrapers around the market.

3. Sunset by Wat Arun and Chao Phraya river.

Wat Arun is a temple situated on the banks of Chao Phraya river in Bangkok which is exceptionally beautiful during the sunset and after dark it is lit with beautiful lights. One can opt for river cruises or if you like some quiet time, there are many cafes that offer some delicious Thai food and an even better view.

4. Travelling spoon

Travelling spoon is a very unusual and fun experience in Bangkok. You get to choose your host on the website, meet the host and learn some local Thai recipes in their kitchen. A really good way to get to know the local life style and authentic Thai cuisine.

5. Dessert hunting.

Thailand has some really amazing desserts especially in Bangkok. One of my favourites happen to be sticky mango rice and green tea frappuccino. But you can just walk around the neighbourhood you are staying at, and find Thai desserts.

6. Stay in Phuket old town

Patong in Phuket is a tourist attraction but Old Phuket town is quiet and has beautiful architecture. Book a guest house in old phuket town and spend a day or two just strolling around the streets. At nights the streets are lit with really pretty lights and cute shops all over the old town to take back some souvenirs for your loved ones. Strongly suggest staying at the Rommanee guest house.

7. Simon Cabaret Show.

Simon Cabaret show is a lady boy cabaret show in Phuket which just left me mesmerised. The music and performances by artists is just out of the world making it a must visit in Phuket .

8. Island tours.

Although many people take Island tours, this is something you have to do . There are boat services who arrange one day island tour from Phuket and it is worth every minute you spend . The journey itself is breathtaking. And the islands are the most beautiful things you'll see all day. If you like water sports, you can go skuba diving or snorkelling and if you are a beach person you can just sit on the beach with fresh coconut and a book.

9. Hike up to Windmill view point.

If you like nature walking and view points this is the best thing to do in Phuket. Start around 5 pm and you'll be able to reach viewpoint at sunset and spend some really quiet time. While walking upto the viewpoint, you'll come across lush green forest around well built roads. Keep yourself hydrated as it can get humid over there.

10. Rent a bike and stroll around Phuket

Phuket has many things to offer. Rent a bike and ride around the hilly roads, if you are lucky you might end up in a cafe in the middle of nowhere. Ride your way up to Kathu waterfall, big buddha, go to a floating market, or you can opt to laze around on patong beach in the evening.
