A small trip to Bannerghatta national park, a magnificent and rambling collection of wildlife, flora and fauna. The tag line itself states a lot 'Save us to save yourself'. A very resourceful site for wildlife lovers. The safari includes a bear safari, tiger & lion safari and a herbivorous safari along with a small butterfly park and the regular zoo. While in most national parks you can see the animals from a distance, this one offers a close view of a of lot your favorite herbivores and carnivores. A tiger nudging it's nose against the bus tires or a lazy grumbling bear crossing the road shaking it's head mindlessly or a sleepy lion hiding somewhere behind the bushes, shying away from onlookers, it's all there. The trip is economical and short, lasting for around 45 mins to an hour with some really nice close encounters. I have been to the Borivali national park waiting to see a single lion for more than 8 years in vain. This one is far better for close encounters, worth the visit and the money. 260 bucks for the entire tour including the 3 safaris, zoo and the butterfly park
