How are you guys doing? I went to my home i.e Chamoli in the month of February. Chamoli is the second largest district of Uttarakhand state. It is a beautiful town in garhwal Himalayas.
In our summer vacations we used to visit many nearby places.One such beautiful place is Chopta. Earlier when we used to visit Chopta very less Travellers were seen there. It was a hidden gem but now it is a Traveller's paradise . It has gained a lot of attention in a few years. love this place a lot. One can enjoy there with friends and family. This time we decided to visit there. It took us 1.5 hours to reach there. ( From chamoli ).
During winters , Dec to Feb it is snow covered and sometimes the roads are blocked too. A week before our visit there was heavy snowfall.

Some facts about Chopta
It is located at the altitude of 2700 mts in Rudraprayag district.
It is surrounded by dense Forrest and is Rich in varied Flora & fauna.
It is the starting point of the trek to famous Tungnath Temple ( Panch kedar Temple ) and chandrashila summit. I had an amazing day there and if you too want to spend time in peace with nature than it's a must visit.
