Day 0 - We started the journey from Chennai to Kotagiri at 9Pm in a 12 plus 1 seat mini bus.

Journey will be good as road will be good

Day 1 - We reached the designated camp at 9am.

Coming to talk about journey, i slept till we cross Coimbatore after having discussed about history of different places and things on Kerala , Ap, Pondicherry, temples ,Days etc with strangers.

Yes! it was a trip with all unknown people. And it will be great.

I woke once we crossed Mettupalayam! It was drizzling and it had good roads and few small ponds where we crossed the roads.

On the way check post will be there who will check if you have brought any plastic. Monkeys will be there as usually in any hill stations.

Coming back to Kotagiri.

So after having break fast we went to trek.

The way was awesome. Where u have to walk on a proper road for some time. On the road water will be flowing in a small line.

Then u have walk in a small lane

Then u will also get a place where u have to climb and get down from big rocks.

U will also have to cross little waterflows carefully. Luckily all these were not slippery though there was a little rain.

In this route, we got a look from the top.

At the end of our trek was the waterfall. Though we got a small place like a swimming pool, it was very good. Clean. Natural right! The water force was very high which was not allowing anyone to stand below the place where water was falling.

Our guide told in these roads bears will be roaming and we got to see them at other place in the evening. will come to that later.

After this, we went back to camp and had our lunch after which we started our trek to Catherine waterfalls. As the flow was more, we could not get down here.

On the way back we have a seen a mother bear and two small bears which were roaming in a fenced place. In addition to this we have also got to see so many Bisons for which we tried night 12 in Poombarai though we could not get them at that place, we got it here in bulk discount!

The night we ended with playing Mafia game ( search about it, it will be interesting with a team) in the bone fire.

We had a little fear as there is a possibility for tigers to come to our camp site as informed by our camp site owner.

Day 2 - I didn't wanted to miss on morning time on hill stations. so i have set up an alarm at 5.30am and read a novel once sun shine was there. We could not see the sun rise due to more FOG! we will talk more about the fog later.

So after sometime when fog was reduced, we went to our trek of an hour through tea plantations which were so vast all around. They were neatly maintained all over. It was very good to walk through this path to reach our place.

After an hour we have reached our destination where we got to see nothing for some time because of FOG i.e. there was so much fog covering the enter valley down . We loved to see the fog like that particularly when fog was touching us.

After this we had brunch and left the camp to go to Kodanad view point. On the way we had lunch and reached our destination. This is the place we got to see the big hills clearly along with the catherine waterfalls view.

Then we returned to chennai after this with so much happiness.

Highlights - Trekking, Waterfalls, Fog , cleanness and less crowd.
