Some people say it's better to stay in Ooty or Coonor than Kotagiri but they are absolutely wrong and I'm going to show that how.
Kotagiri is located on other side of western ghats which is totally unseen and very few people are found there, unlike ooty or coonor where it is crowded with people.
I stayed at "Fuschia homestay" from Airbnb. Damn it was totally inside the tea estates covered from outer world so deep inside woods. There's a trail which leads u to a private falls in 25mins from the resort. A 10mins trek will get u to a meditation rock with beautiful scenes.
There is Kodanadu view point which u must definitely check out. The view from there is just enchanting. Rangasamy rock and pillar stood there far away which I was tripping on. I saw the pillar as Lord ganesha and my frnd saw a budhha. Let me know how you see it from the picture below or just visit kotagiri and trip on it too.
For some action we visited Catherine water falls which was a trail of 30mins walk but on our path ter was a bison which we just thought to be a cow and went close by and it got startled and signalled his/her other mates and we were surrounded by bisons like 10 of them and we had to walk through the tea estates to reach the falls or escape from the bisons. It was such a thrilling 2hrs of life.
We went to 2 deserted and calm waterfalls, had some action with the bisons and a peaceful stay at fuschia. Hope u all visit kotagiri to experience what I just told abt...
