Day 1

Every journey has a story.

Then what's the story of my journey? 🤪
Well not every road you travel is smooth and not every journey is do is tiring.
It started with an accident a day earlier and ended with memories to cherish for life.
As soon as we left guwahati behind us, we were able to feel the cold breeze gushing past us,  as if the deep valleys and  the astounding hills of meghalaya were welcoming us. The sun was bidding a goodbye as the moon quickly peeped it's way into the semi orange sky

Day 2

A night ride through the curvy mountain road took us to our first destination shillong. The chills with the cold breeze felt fresh, Something new something different. It was dark around 8.30 We checked in and directly went inside our blanket. Time went by, the moon disappear with the sun rays falling in our eyes.
It was 6 in the morning none of us wanted to get up. This was the first feel of the chilly winter morning for us this year. Somehow we managed to get up. We checked out and started the journey in a land with a clear blue sky
Slowly and steadily we made our way out of shillong towards cherrapunjee.
The roads were smooth and we started to groove..
How do i describe the journey?
So many things to say but words cant describe
So many places visited in so less time.
Something, someplace, some memories, sometime
Why do our suddenly plans turns out to be the best thing we had till that time which we can't even define ?

Day 3

The road to DAWKI was nothing less of an experience my breaks were not working properly. The breaks were a problem from the first. I know it was my mistake to ride with a bad break but i still carried on. During the whole ride to DAWKI the last 8.9 km was the most interesting and intense one. Off roading with no rear break through a forest during dark chilly night with no one else around other then the four of us.
We reached dawki at 9 rented a tent and camped the night on the banks of Umngit river
The Umngot River flowing through Dawki towards Bangladesh can be said the cleanest river in india.. Water so clean you can see the fishes swimming.
If you want an experience to remember for life, come visit dawki and spend a night.
Worth the hype.

LESSON LEARNED :-
Some times you have to journey
far from home to find out who you really are.The greatest thing about travel is that while your physical boundaries have stretched, it's the horizons inside of you that expand, to encompass the world
you witnessed.

Day 4

Returning home can sometimes be emotionally tough. After following the same routine day in and day out. This trip was an escape into a land long forgotten. It was a breadth of fresh air.
To say goodbye can sometimes be tough
The time we had was not enough
I needed more
More of that adventure
More of that peace
More of that company
More of everything
Thank You  Megha-laya for everything
Will miss you
Untill next time .
.
This is Mr. Himalayan
