This is a short blog about our travel to the Maldives for 4 nights and 5 days

start date 18/07/2019

We left to Maldives from Bangalore international airport at around 1:30 in the afternoon on the 18th of July 2019
We travelled in the Indigo airlines from Bangalore. we touched base at Maldives at around 4:30 Indian standard time at the Velana international airport Male. Velana international airport is completely built on sea. Maldives is half an hour behind Indian standard time

The crew on board the Indigo airlines gave us the immigration form for us to fill so that we could show that at the declaration centre at the Maldives airport for us to obtain the tourist visa which is Visa on arrival at free of cost. The duration of stay for the the visa on arrival is 90 days with multiple entry.

After getting the stamping done for tourist visa we headed towards the counter for Taj hotels where we were received warmly from from the executive who then guided us to the speedboat which was parked outside the airport. we were the only two passengers to be on board the speed boat so it was like a chartered boat for ourselves from the Taj hotels and mind you this is paid and not inclusive in the room tariff. we have to travel 35 kilometres down south from Male to the Taj coral reef resort and spa where we had booked ourselves for the next 4 days. the day we landed at Male the weather was very rough which meant that there was rough sea ahead of us. generally takes 40 minutes for people to travel from the airport to Taj coral reef resort and spa but since the day we landed that is on the 18th of July ,having a rough weather it took approximately 1 hour 10 minutes to reach the resort .the travel was indeed exciting and adventurous at some point of time it was really scary as well because the waves was so hard that to negotiate through those waves it was a real bumpy ride for us. After the wave bashing from our driver on the speedboat we finally landed at the resort Vivo welcome with so much of love and warmth from the hotel guys at Taj coral reef resort and spa that it indeed felt like coming to home.

The luxury resort is a private Island owned and maintained by the Taj. its  approximately 10 acres of land completely surrounded by blue seas. after the warm reception from the hotel guys we were then taken on a tour of the island and then finally escorted us to our beach villa. we stayed at beach villa 220. All our passports were scanned and all our personal details were taken which is the standard operating procedure for the resort and once all the formalities were done we were then handed over the keys to the room with the Wi-Fi password for us to soak in the beauty of the resort and enjoy the rest of the stay

Our villa was right in the centre of the property and our bed was facing the ocean the views from the villa were excellent something that is out of the world and which cannot be expressed by words but people to go and live there and experience it themselves. We spent the rest of the evening just looking at the ocean having some good time going around the villa and then had a good dinner and then hit the bed.

We got up to a sunny morning having some breathtaking views of the ocean and then at around 8:30 in the morning we had breakfast at the bokkura restaurant which served  the breakfast .we had a buffet breakfast with the usual English breakfast some eggs and omelettes with some Indian delicacies at our disposal as well .we had a good breakfast and a hot cup of coffee and then went back to the villa to get freshened up after an hour we came out we went around the property there's so much to see there.we clicked some good photographs of the ocean of the views and then came back for lunch. At around 5 in the evening the resort arranges for all the the customers to feed the stingrays which came to the shore .so we had a good experience of serving the stingrays with raw fish the stingrays have been coming to the island from the past 15 to 20 years and it's become a practice for all the people who are visiting the resort to feed them at their own discretion and around 8:30 in the night we then went to the restaurant had some good dinner and came back to hit the bed.

At 9 o'clock in the morning , we were greeted by some rains in the morning and then headed to bokura for our morning breakfast. after the breakfast we went to the hammock which was at the front of the resort the hammock is generally opened for the visitors when there is a low tide and it was indeed a great experience the hammock is right in between the resort and the ocean after a brief stint at the hammock we then had a good time at the jacuzzi. after the jacuzzi we also enjoyed at infinity pool right next to the jacuzzi which offers breathtaking views of the island.
rest of the day was spent athleisure with and around 4:30 in the evening we had perception book for both of us at the Jiva spa. we had a special couples only massage. It was a complete body massage by two female Thai women who gave us a very good massage from the head to the toe for approximately one and half hours and then right next to the power was the Roman bath which was filled with water and some Aroma gels the bathtub was surrounded by candles and lease we were requested by the team of the spa to spend any amount of time in the Roman bath and then we are also offered a bottle of champagne. the session was indeed relaxing and enjoyable and it has become a memory for us and we will remember it for a long time to come.

Next great morning as it was Sunny day ,we went to the Bakura restaurant to have the breakfast. after the breakfast we again came back to our villa click some photographs as the tides you really low in front of our villa. at around 4:30 we went to the reef bar which is on the other side of the property at joining the ocean where we had some good cocktails and enjoyed the views with the cocktail we also had a large pizza. we had dinner in the night and then hit the bed early that night as we had an early morning flight the next day back to Bangalore

we had requested the hotel guys to give as a wake up call at 3:30 in the morning it was really retouching of the resort guys to give us hot and fresh breakfast early in the morning so that we could have a sumptuous breakfast at the airport. factor bags checked all the rooms to see we had left we had left and your belongings and then went to the reception pay dollar bills and then we were seen off in grand style by the hotel executives.
within boarded the speed boat which took approximately 45 minutes to reach velana international airport early morning views of Maldives is another breathtaking experience are flight from Male what's at 8:30 in the morning and we landed at Bangalore at 12:00 in the afternoon after checking out and doing the formalities for immigration with and headed to the nuance duty free shopping at the ground floor level of our Bangalore airport vips good perfumes and alcohol and some chocolates for our families and then headed back to home it was indeed a great experience and a beautiful country which has got so much to offer every sort of traveller I would recommend people to definitely go to Maldives to de stress and enjoy the beauty of nature.

And with a heavy heart we bid a good bye and we will be back soon .!!
