alibaug is something i always admired. It is a beach in Raigad district of maharashtra. if you are living in pune or mumbai it can be your perfect weekend gateway!
As my father had some work in Alibag i landed in Alibag with him. He dropped me near beach and again alibag surprised me.
It was Normal weekday so crowd was less, water level of sea was also less. thats why along with only 50 tourist i was enjoying my alone time.
water was so clear and pure, kids were playing in sand, fisherman's were catching fish, Normal day to day activities were happening .
There is kulaba fort on alibaug beach, which was ruled by Great shivaji maharaj, later on this fort was ruled by Portuguese, Dutch.
Your entry to the fort will be restricted according to the water level of sea. if they are not allowing you to visit the fort dont argue its for your own safety.
ticket for indian tourist is 25 INR
after some time water level increased and they asked us to leave the fort.
there is fish marker near beach, you can have fresh fishes from that market.
you can do boating aslo, have horse ride with fresh coconut water. sand and tan is must when you visit a beach . and alibag gives you best experience.
