As Indians, we love to travel to new destinations and explore each part of our country. However, connectivity to remote destinations takes hours and makes it difficult for most travelers to manage their time appropriately. But, with time, the Govt of India has acknowledged the problem and have come up with various initiatives to improve air travel or any mode of connectivity in general.
The newest development that has taken place is the inauguration of not just India's but Asia's largest Airport in Noida. Also, the fourth largest in the entire world. This comes as a huge relief for Indian travellers and something for them to be proud of. This airport is expected to be operational by September 2024 with an initial capacity to handle 1.2 crore passengers per annum.
The Airport is strategically located and will serve the people of cities, including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Agra, Faridabad and other neighboring areas.
According to sources, some of the features of this Airport which left us completely awestruck are:
1. This airport in Noida will be the logistics gateway of northern India, and with its scale and capacity, the airport is said to be a game changer for the state of Uttar Pradesh
2. It has been conceptualized with an integrated multi-modal cargo hub, with an aim to reduce the total cost and time for logistics - another good news for busy travelers
3. It will also develop a Ground Transportation Centre that will feature a multi-modal transit hub, housing metro and high-speed rail stations, taxi, bus services and private parking.
And that's not all. In 2023, two more are expected to come up at Ayodhya and Muirpur. We are super excited about these new developments. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
