Day 2

We stayed at Selvasi Beach Cottage near to Auro Beach. It was only 2 minutes of walk from the hotel. Our day started with complimentary breakfast in authentic south Indian style. Next we head towards Auro Ville visitor center. Check with the Google maps, the place for entry has been changed which is not updated maps. You have to go further 2kms for the new entry, parking is available for two wheeler and four wheeler. FYI you will get free entry passes for Matri Mandir and visitors are allowed to see it from the outside of the fencing. It is about a km of walk from the entry gate to Matri Mandir view point. While returning free bus service is available for all till the gate.

After a long walk both ways and elongated time of photo sessions we were hungry and decided to go straight to white town to enjoy the delicious french food in white town. We decided to go rendezvous cafe restaurant for our lunch which is a terrace restaurant with bright white walls and beautiful french music in background - sets all our mood. After a healthy and yet tiring lunch we started for new white house which is almost 6kms from white town. Generally it is publicly available from 3-5pm but unfortunately due to some construction works it was closed. Not spending any more time for clicks we headed towards Paradise beach which is almost 12 kms away and you have to go all through the pondicherry town to reach. Paradise beach is most popular among the locals and tourist as well for local street foods available by the beach and long beach for perfect sunset. Spent a memorable evening by the beach with cool breeze and head back to Rock beach to try local cuisines and food station available just beside the lane of Promenade hotel. While returning finished our dinner at Farm Fresh restaurant. They do serve good budget foods.

Day 1

Route 1:

Bangalore-Hosur-Krishnagiri-Chengam-Tiruvanamalai-Gingee-Pondicherry

Total 320 kms

We started at 6AM from Bangalore and reached in the evening 5PM including all four major stops for sight seeing. Lunch, transition and hydration breaks we took in middle several times. Though the roads are very bad in between Tiruvanamalai and Gingee. Near 30-40 kms stretch is full of potholes and under construction roads. So if you have time and planning for road trips I would rather suggest to take another two routes mentioned below:

Route 2:

Bangalore-Hosur-Ambur-Vellore-Arcot-Tindivanam-Pondicherry

Total - 380 kms

You can cover few view points in this route which includes Jawadhu hills, Vellore Fort, Palamathi Hills

Route 3:

Bangalore-Hoskote-Kolar-Chitoor-Kanchipuram-Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry

Total - 450 kms

View points are - Antharagange caves, Kaigal falls, Mahabalipuram ancient carvings

First stop before krishnagiri
