What's so special: It's a hostel. Yes, you didn't expect it to be on this list, but it totally deserves a place owing to the brilliant vibe. The hostel is extremely reasonable but the level of service by the staff and the camaraderie amongst the guests is incredible. You can chill with fellow guests (that are mostly foreigners) till the wee hours of the morning without a care in the world. The environment is very informal and there's even a "secret stoner room" in the basement, which is psychedelically lit and designed.

What’s nearby: The hostel is situated inside Jaipur, and you know there's no dearth of tourist attractions in this city.
