Day 1
"It's 5 in the morning and I should sleep now, it's gonna be a long trek tomorrow" I told myself but , the excitement won't let me. I could've slept for only 20 minutes when Agrim shouted look that's where we're going , I looked out of the window and I could see the peak of a snow capped mountain known as indranhar summit. At 7 am we reached McLeodganj. There was something different about McLeodganj , I could sense the good vibes, the weather was good and the best part was its streets , they were clean.well in Delhi we are not really used to such clean streets. We roamed around a bit had some really authentic dumplings made up of wheat and filled with potatoes. We also had Lamen a Tibetan dish made up of rice noodles and shredded chicken , it was a little sweet and sour and trust it was really amazing. After feeding ourselves we were all set for the trek. We took a taxi from the city to dharamkot for ₹500. Dharamkot is 3-4 km from main city , after we reached dharamkot we bought 10-12 bananas and 4-5 water bottles.

THE TREK
Trek to triund is about 9 km from dharamkot. The way is easy but difficult also at some places . Some areas are slippery and full of pointed rocks. Half way the way is smooth but becomes steep in the end. There are 3-4 cafes on the way by different names like best view cafe and magic view cafe, you can stop there and take a breath but the best part is yet to come. It took us about 5 hours to reach the top, and it was so beautiful you could see the mighty indranhar summit and the range of mountains, we were completely mesmerised and satisfied as the beauty was worth 6 hours of long and exhausting trek. We then booked 2 tents , took a nap, played cards and had Maggi. Sun was going down and west slowly making the sky orange. I took a walk away from the tent with my camera in hand towards the cliff and watched the sunset and the huge mountain turn orange. It gave me tears and I asked myself what I've been doing all my life, this was missing , this beauty, this adventure and this peace. At night we had a few drinks, made ourselves comfortable and gazed at the sky full of stars, one thing I learned was that sleeping under 5 million stars is way better than sleeping in a 5 star hotel , and finally I was at peace .....
