Hello travellers, my self manish and I am travel addicted like real addiction. So today my addiction took me to heaven, like literally heaven and this heaven is called triund. You can start this trek from macleodganj or from dharamkot.
We started from macleodganj, and let me tell you, you gonna be fucked till you reach triund top because macleodganj route is really hard and steep while dharamkot is wayyyy easier. From macleodganj it took 5 hours( for me atleast) while from dharamkot it just takes 2 hours to reach the top. But, yes there's a but coming, but the way from macleodganj is too beautiful, like you literally can see heaven. so,we started the trek from bhagsu waterfall which was just a minute walk from my hotel. After 20 minutes of trek you reach the famous shiva cafe, we had a pizza and chowmine and lots of pictures and then restarted the trek.
CAUTION:- DO CARRY AT LEAST 2 BOTTLES OF WATER TREK IS REALLY TIRING SO YOU WILL BE NEEDING MINIMUM 2 BOTTLES OF WATER.
so from shiva cafe it took around 4 and half hours to reach the top but in the way you will see 2 camp sites and 3 cafes "where everything is expensive" but all this are worth it. You will get beautiful views in the way.
People say na that "journey is way more beautiful than the destination" well you understand this phrase in this trek.
There was no snow even it's 24th December, but when we reached the top there was a little snow which was really hard and was melting.
But the scene was amazing from the top , from top you will have an amazing view of Dhauladhar ranges.
It was getting late so we walked back to our camp site.
NOTE:- YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CAMP ON THE TOP BECAUSE OF THE GARBAGE TOURIST THROW.
The people that take care of the camp gave us two sleeping bags, because it was really cold around -4 degrees, also we had rajma chawal in dinner. We palyed antakshari and also had a bonfire under the blanket of stars . And early morning we saw the sunrise and trekked back to macleodganj.
BUDGET:-
Camp, guide and food all included for 2700 rupees
Thank you for reading this and do this trek if you can.
