Welcoming the New Year in Triund.

The trek to Triund from Mcleaodganj, Dharamshala takes you through a quaint landscape and stunning views of the valley beneath.
You can start your expedition from Dharamkot or drive till the Galu Devi temple to save energy and time. The trek takes approximately 5 hours to reach the hill top, leading to spectacular vistas of the snowcovered Dhauladar Ranges.
You can carry camping essentials from Mcleaodganj itself, but one can rent tents and sleeping bags and matter on the hill top also. Wear multiple layers as temperatures may drop down till -7 degrees.
With camps and bonfires, shimmering stars and clear skies above and glittering lights of the valley below, it was an amazing trekking experience to Triund, probably the best new year I've ever celebrated.
