A small drive around the city and saw the beautiful places in the city.. to include the church, the Governors lake and shillong view point.

Visited the nearby elephant falls for half the day and balance day was spent shopping at Police lines market, a unique and interesting market
As the days went by.. things got better.. drove down to krang shuri waterfalls. This waterfall is a treat and a must. Tool me 2 hours to reach by a taxi, but was really worth the effort.
When in shillong.. don't miss the grand canyons.. they are beautiful, calm and appealing. Takes not kore tham 45 minutes to reach by public transport and a places to click plenty of soothing pictures
Next day drove down towards Dwaki, India Bangladesh border. Dwaki river is one of the cleanest rivers and best time to visit is anytime of year except monsoons
Bangladesh.. got to visit Bangladesh for a day from here. A short trip of one day was not enough.. will surely go again
This is the cleanest village of Asia. You need to visit it to see it. It has nice home stays at reasonable rates and the people are just too sweet. It is an amazing place and a very nice place.
A treat to eye.. old tree roots have come up as a bridge and guess what.. you can actually walk over it and cross the river.
Next Day was a little more long, as I visited cherrapunji. This places records maximum waterfall in a year and thus has so may waterfalls and lush green surroundings
