Kumbha Mela Ujjain is going on from 23rd April to 22nd May. Its largest congregation of people sadhu and sant. More than 20 million people are expected to Visit Ujjain during this period and take a holy dip in Kshipra river which is the only river bathing in which gives salvation. It is said that during sea churning by Devtas and Asurs Amrit emerged from tge sea and the Devtas fled with Amrit. During this fleeing a few drops fell on earth at Nadhij Hardwar Allahabad and Ujjain. Therefore Kumbh is celebrated at first 3 places and Simhasth at Ujjain at interval of 12 years.
