Whether it's the skyscrappers or man-made islands of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the art and culture of Sharjah or the green oasis that Al Ain is, United Arab Emirates has emerged as an attractive tourist destination globally in the recent times. If you were planning to visit this ultra-modern country for some amazing time, here's some good news!

United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced a multiple-entry visa scheme which will be valid for five years for all nationalities. Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, tweeted on Monday, officially announcing the scheme to all. Tourist visas were previously valid for 30-90 days.

The new scheme will aim at making UAE the next most popular global destination, as the country plans to diversify into tourism apart from the existing oil trade.

What does it mean for Indian travellers?

Indian travellers who obtain the visa will have the opportunity to travel and stay in the country for any period of time until the visa is valid. This would mean an easy access to the country without any hassle for up to five years. So, if you want to visit Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or any other city in UAE multiple times within a year, you don't have to apply for visa every time.

This is a good news particularly for relatives of the people who work in UAE. Family members won't have to go through the visa process time and again to visit their loved ones in UAE.

For travellers, this is a welcome call for those who love to travel for leisure, adventure and shopping. With visa valid for five years, going to UAE will become a cakewalk, as all you will need to do is to buy a plane ticket whenever you wish to go.
