Devprayag is a Town in Tehri Garhwal District Of the State Uttarakhand, India.

Devprayag is one of the Panch Prayag (five confluences), Where Alaknanda River , Saraswati (invisible as it is underground) and Bhagirathi rivers meet and take the name "Ganga".

Devprayag is the last prayag of River Alaknanda. Devprayag is located on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway.

It is the Confluence of Alaknanda , Saraswati (invisible as it is underground) & Bhagirathi rivers and the Birth Place Of The Ganges.

Alaknanda Source: Confluence of Satopanth Glacier and Bhagirathi Kharak Glacier.

Bhagirathi Source : Gomukh, "Mouth of a Cow", the pout of the glacier along the river ,Gangotri.

These two sacred rivers join to form the Ganges (Ganga) in Devprayag.

Devprayag is the home of priests of Badrinath. They are known as "Pandas". Every Panda has his own region in whole country.

How To Reach Devprayag:

By Air : The nearest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun. which is 116 kms away from Devprayag.

By Train: Haridwar is the nearest Railway Station. and from Haridwar you can take personal cab or Local Bus to Devprayag.

By Bus: You Can Direct Buses from Rishikesh. Because Rishikesh is the major starting point for road journey to Devprayag and regular buses operate from Rishikesh bus station to Devprayag. The road distance from Rishikesh to Devprayag is 74 km.

Jan - Dec. ( It's open for whole Year).
