Day 1

In a world of rising uncertainties, and economic disruptions such as COVID-19 the only thing we are certain about is the fact that you live only once and it's pivotal to live your life to the best. With more people travelling around the globe to explore more places, and rising pet ownership globally has brought forth a new demand for PET FRIENDLY PLACES.
On account of the same, I am posting my travel with my fur baby (Mr. Coco Bouncer) to Dehradun from Delhi (about 285 km long journey) in the hope to help out anyone who plans to do so in the future.

First and foremost, we identified a suitable pet-friendly accommodation through Airbnb. Located in Chandrothi, the 3BHK cottage we found was a gem. Located away from the hustle of Dehradun city, this place offered the much needed peace and picturesque views of the hills.

One of the best pet friendly restaurants that we visited was the Yellow Hills Restaurant, Bar  and Cafe. The food was amazing and the staff was extremely courteous. They made sure that Coco and Co. were comfortable whilst at the same time ensuring that the other customers were not disturbed.

While packing for this trip, some of the essential items that we carried with us are as follows:
- Hypoallergenic Food: Since Coco is allergic to gluten we made sure we kept enough food for at least 4-5 meals that he may have.
- Food and Water Bowls
- Toys: Because it's a long journey, your fur friend is bound to get bored. So in this case, we kept his favourite toys so that he is engaged throughout the journey
- Bed and blanket: It is essential for Coco to have his belongings with him whenever he travels so as to have familiarity in an unfamiliar surrounding
- Treats: All pet owners know this without a doubt

The day concluded with an evening walk to the Kilroy's bridge.

Day 2

The next morning we woke up late and had a delicious breakfast served by our caretaker and cooks.
We checked out of the homestay and headed back home. Coco was the happiest to be back home in his familiar surroundings but still eagerly awaits his next trip.
Please do suggest any other pet friendly locations worth taking our fur-fam too! 😄
