I still remember my first trekking experience. It was a night trek to Dhak Bahiri Caves and it was an experience that actually changed my lifestyle and the way I looked at travel and tourism. It was the first time I had stepped into the wild terrain that trails through thick and cold jungles to rocky mountains. It was the first time I walked into and out of a wild untouched natural beauty of Maharastra.
The view from the caves was majestic. Something I had only seen on instagrams. And here I was, looking at an endless landscapes forming into this beautiful living canvas. As if I was living inside a painting. Its a feeling better to experienced then to be expressed.
As much did I exhaust myself in my first trek, I was actually feeling fulfilled and satisfied. A very different kind of happiness sparkled through my eyes. I had a unique sense of accomplishment. Yes that is exactly what I felt when I was back home. Never I was so satisfied with any trip before. This feeling urged me to go for another trek, so I logged on to Trek Mates India’s website and booked myself a seat for my second trek, a day trek to Rajgad.
Yet again, the new mountains that gave me the same sense of fulfilment, I knew I have found what was missing from my life. At times we realise that we missed something so much only after discovering it. This sounds crazy, but its true.
Since then, I made sure I am never missing out on any opportunity to trek or travel across the mountains or being surrounded by nature. As Maharastra has India’s most scenic and challenging treks, I actually felt fortunate to live in this beautiful state of India and took on a mission to capture its true beauty and share it with the world.
