Day 1

Rishikesh is a place of absolute delight. A place where I have been more than a time and at every visit, it gives a new set of experiences. I have already penned down a blog on the trip of Haridwar and Rishikesh in my blog www.bizarrebagpackers.com but there is something about this yoga capital Rishikesh. Geographically it lies in the Himalayan Foothills beside the mighty Ganges. It is a place for people who are driven by the delusion of deities, for clans who worships yoga and adventures. This mystical land has a certain aura that magnetically attracts and fixes you to watch the Aghori Sadhus, taste exotic fruits, watch the blue serenity of the Ganga, get inspired by the fascinated hippies, and listen to all the mythological tales from the local guides again and again. The vegans are especially going to love this place as both meat and alcohol are forbidden here and Rishikesh is just a paradise for good food.
Rishikesh has strong vibes that bring human souls together from all corners of the globe. This peaceful valley and the fresh air mesmerize you every time you are amidst it. The spots which every day attracts the tourist somehow also disappoint us for its hustle. The long pedestrian bridges Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula is always crowded with foot traffic and two-wheelers. But the Adventure sports like the Cliff Jumping, River Rafting are something which is worth trying in a lifetime.
