At the end of April, I left Goa with everything I owned in a single 50 Litre backpack and 200$ to my name which I had after saving Christmas and birthday gifts. I set off to Nepal traveling 3000kms in 4 days by land. I ended up couch surfing for the first time in Kathmandu and met some incredible people also met a local in charge of a refugee camp and I spent a week helping out build up the toilets for the refugee camp. It was an incredible experience!

Also known as Gorakhshpur, this is a town on the banks of the beautiful Rapti River. This is in the eastern part of the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated on the Nepal Border and is on the eastern side of the state capital of Lucknow. This place is also known for the Gorakhnath Temple or the Gorakhnath Math dedicated to Lord Shiva and thus is a Hindu worship place. The Buddhists also find importance here as Lord Buddha attained Parinirvana here and also breathed his last in Kushinagar which is near Gorakhpur. The great Saint Kabir, the poet is buried in Maghar, near Gorakhpur as well.
