This is a one day trip in Kolkata first I went to Science City it is the largest centre of its kind in the country Science City features both and amusement park and a huge array of exhibits on technology and scientific topics opened in 1997 the centre aims to make science accessible and interesting to all through a range of interactive experiments and displays that demonstrate important scientific principles Explore team sections which include the evolution Park the outdoor Science park and dynamotion hall but don't miss the space theatre which uses doomed ceiling to display films and presentations on a huge scale be sure to check the centres website for information on temporary exhibits special displays and events.

second i went to jadu ghar that is the indian museum a visit to the oldest Institution of its kind in the country at Indian Museum it is home to an array of artefacts exhibit and displays featuring artwork forces and more one of the Nations premier museums the facility of cupies a Victorian Era building first opened in 1875 when did the extensive collection of more than 10000 items to see sizeable areas dedicated to local ethnology covering cultural development from the Mughal Era all the way back to Prehistoric items Marvel at intricate paintings pottery and textile and also skeletons and preserved animals as well and don't miss the museums Indian coin collection the largest on planet.

next i drove to belur mutt the spiritual centre of the rama krishna moment Belur mat switch on the west bank of the Hooghly river sprawling across 16 hectares that is 40 acres the campus includes temples dedicated to Swami Vivekananda Sarada Devi and of course Ramakrishna a site for many devoted pilgrims the grounds include museum dedicated to the history and Legacy of the Ramakrishna movement.

From Belur Math you can go to Dakshineswar Kali temple through a boat it is not so costly so you have to try this experience in Dakshineswar Kali temple join the fork of devotees of the river Kali goddess and visit Dakshineswar Kali temple in 19th century Hindu Temple Run for its Association with Ramakrishna a famous mistake philanthropist Rani rashmoni built the temple in 1855 and subsequently appointed the influential Ramakrishna as its priest admire the picturesque 9 main Shrine Rome the courtyard and view the temples Ghat steps used for bathing on the bank of the Ganges.

The famous River in Kolkata is Hooghly river which is nothing but river Ganga the Hooghly river or the Bhagirathi river traditionally called Ganga is an approximately 260 km long distributary of the Ganges river in West Bengal India the Ganges splits into the Padma and the Hooghly near giriya Murshidabad

Howrah Bridge while driving to Belur Math you can witness Howrah Bridge linking Howrah to Kolkata across the Hooghly river Howrah Bridge span 705 m making it one of the longest cantilever bridges in the world completed in 1943 the busy bridge in Kolkata landmark what featured in countless Indian movies an architectural Marvel it was constructed without the use of nuts and bolts drive or walk across the bridge enjoying the views of the City Skyline and the flowing river below.
