Yes, there are hidden treasures in Bengal and for a person who feels Hills are Home, can always find solace in such places.
On a Sunday morning we decided to "inhale some life " as we were tired of our daily hustle bustle. We planned for next weekend and all thanks to #airbnb -Green lawn cottage. It was a lovely place along with a courteous host.
We started on Friday night from Kolkata in bus ( no reservations were available for train as it was last minute plan) , reached there next day around 1:00 pm.
It was a fabulous place surrounded with organic farms . We had a super host Karan. The place was full of birds chirping and mild sound of streams flowing from a distance. We went for a stroll round the place and his farm. After dinner that day Karan arranged for a bonfire with wine and soft music it was magical under the stars.
We woke up late and in the afternoon we left for Tiger Hills for sunset. Oh yes, people are familiar with magical sunrise at Tiger Hills but the sunset was something extraterrestrial. It was a lifetime experience. While returning back to our den we had the awesome view of Kurseong. After such a beautiful day Rum was all that we had in mind for the night.
It was a short trip , next day we had to return . On our way back we visited Kurseong, scenic beauty of the place will always soothe your soul. Evening we boarded our train back to Kolkata.
