We started our journey from Guwahati early around 5 o clock ...we pre-book a cab earlier that night through a local taxi stand..As our journey began it started raining...we were so happy as cherrapunjee looks best during rainy days..after an 4hours journey we finally reached sohra..we stopped by a view point..the first thing we did was buying an umbrella..as it was raining continously..we clicked some pictures and till this time we were almost drenched with water...we rushed to a local tiny restaurant to grap a quick breakfast as we were starving..we got into the car after this..the next point were we stopped was the seven sister water fall point were seven water fall run down at the same spot..but sadly it was way too foggy that we hardly could see a person standing next to us ..so no point of seeing the actual waterfall..the next spot was to drop the eco park ..we got down and walked to see another waterfall..the waterfall was on full force as it was a rainy day..post seeing the waterfall we went for the mawsmai cave which is a huge natural cave in lap of meghalaya..after buying the tickets which was for 50rs per head..we entered the cave..the cave actually has water which is almost near to ankle lengh so , i would suggest you to lift your pants and keep your shoes in the entry gate..crossing of the cave was adventurious and thrilling ..we simply loved it..After covering the cave we left cherrapunjee and reached shillong which took an hour drive ..we grabbed a quick lunch in the local market..post lunch the cab took us to our resort named (roinam retreat) which is actually a rustic resort which offers tents and cottages for a pleasant stay ..they also have an infinity pool with a view of the lush forest around the resort which was to die for..we pre-booked a cottage villa for us which costed around 5000₹ / night for 2 people...After doing the checkin formalities we took a nap for next couple of hours as we were very tired..in the evening we went to the pool and had some liesure time over there with some snacks and drinks..the view from the pool was just panoramic..later we ordered our dinner in the room ..we slept early that night .
We wokedup around 9 that morning ..our Breakfast was served in the room Balcony which was huge and had the same lush greenary around and early morning birds chirruping added to that natural rhythm..post Breakfast...we went to the pool again for sometime ..came back to the room ..took a quick shower and checkedout from the hotel..on our way back we had lunch in the highway itself...reached Guwahati around 4 o clock evening
