Only tribe members can answer thisNorth east India is full unexplored spots, culture and tribes that best time to visit during the monsoons. Since rains start early from March end downpours are visible. Another best time is during winters where snow is experienced.

Lachung is a heavenly spot, of north Sikkim. Since you have explored full of lachung here are few more spots you could try exploring further. From lachung 7 hours away is Pelling. Nestled between mountains of west Sikkim here are some things to do
Hee Bermoik is an adventure town
Changey falls is mesmerising
Singshore bridge is a lovely tall bridge
Darap village is a paradise spot

Dayara bugyal trek is an easy trek which is 40km long. It starts from Barsu village where you get to see lot of meadows. A peaceful trek as it is popularly titled. Kedarnath trek in June is called as an ideal outdoor sport where as u trek so you see the nature. Though June is summer, still weather is pleasant. It is an easy trek. Kauri pass trek is a lovely Himalayan trek facing the Garhwal Himalayas. Starting from Haridwar, you get to camp and star gaze a lot in June. This trek is also called as Curzon trek. I would advise Dugara bugyal or Kedarnath trek for your child could trek fast. Both are safe trekking Himalayan spots.

Ooty is good to visit any time of the year, however you may avoid monsoons.
Mar-May is typically pleasant. if you want to experience the chill, Oct- Feb is a good time.
