Raja's Seat Coorg Reviews

I went to raja's seat and that was quite spectacular . Clicked some pics and shot some vids and then I was on my way to mandalpatti. It was 21 km from raja's seat and a 1 and half hr drive because the road was curvey and not constructed properly. I didn't know that when I was starting out. After a drive if 7 -10 kms, the road became hell.. It was rocky and steep incline. I had to drive at a speed ranging from 10 to 30kmph. It was difficult and I was afraid I might slip. . I had to be really careful. Yes , proper constructed roads did appear on the way in patches but as I ascended, the road became worse. Sometimes I was just driving on the rocks. After a ride of 2 hrs or more I arrived at the entry gate from where the top was 3 kms away. There was no road now. Only sandy paths
Next day , we started early and went to madikeri after breakfast , covered the Monastery and Raja seat . By afternoon we came back and had lunch . While coming back we saw coffee plantation , you can book a tour separately for that . The resort also provide few trekking tours for 1200 rs per couple . The evening was really relaxing, we walked outside the resort and it was very beautiful . I haven't felt so close to nature in a long time . This is a place which is just away f rom all the hustle bustle of the city . As it had been raining throughout you could see water flowing over road and fog over the mountains . We came back to resort before it was dark and this was our last night . The resort has a nice bar and games rooms . We enjoyed a match of pool , TT and fussball before we went to bed . The rooms have tata sky and coffee /tea maker .
Headed straight to Raja's seat for sunset after the temple and boy was it worth it. Raja's seat offers stunning valley views coupled with splendid weather. Just sit back and watch the sun set behind the endless hills. Nature is indeed a marvel. Alas, it was time to head back home. Thank you Rare Earth Estate for such a beautiful vacation and for treating our boy Leo like a family member. An absolutely memorable time! Vacations a great but vacations with pets are unmatched. Nature has its own way of stunning people isn’t it ?, like they say “ both heaven and hell are on earth itself” , I am not too sure about hell but HEAVEN LORDS!!! this was definitely heaven . As though gods opened up the gates for me just to give me a glimpse of the beauty !. For the kid in you this place also offers the toy train facility around the premises so make sure you try this , it is bound to get back some memories of your childhood
After having lunch, we visited this beautiful garden which offers a pleasant spectacle of refreshing layers of greenery, chain of high and low-rise-mountains attired with mist. This lovely spot was a favorite place of recreation for the Rajas(Kings) and hence was permanently associated with them. It is built on a high level ground with a commanding view of the cliffs and valleys to the west. After spending two hours at Raja’s Seat we got back to the hotel.
