Christmas, New year and a list of long weekends available for the next year makes this the perfect time for us to start planning our vacations for the next year. However, if mid-month budget woes are dampening your travel spirit then the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation(IRCTC) has come up with the perfect year end gift for travellers yearning for an affordable Goa trip!

This “Hop On Hop Off Goa by Bus” will take you through the most scenic places in North and South Goa starting at just Rs. 400 per person. With buses leaving every hour, this service will be available between 9 am to 6 pm every day. There are three tour options to choose from: North Goa, South Goa and a combination of both. While the North and South Goa trip will cost Rs. 400 per person, the combo tour will cost Rs. 600 each.

The North Goa tour will include a trip to popular places such as Dona Paula, Goa Science Museum, Miramar Beach, Kala Academy, Bhagwan Mahaveer Garden, Panjim Market, Casino Point, River Boat Cruise & Old Goa ,Basilica of Bom Jesus (St. Francis Xavier), Se Cathedral, St. Catherine Chapel, Arc of Viceroy, ASI Museum & St. Augustine. South Goa tour on the other hand will cover a visit to Fort Aguada, Sinquerim Beach/Fort, Candolim Beach, St. Antony Chapel, St. Alex Church, Calangute Beach, Baga Beach, Anjuna Beach, Chapora Fort and Vagator Beach. A combo tour will include all the above plus Mall De Goa and Saligaon Church.

These buses will be fully equipped with LED TVs, PA systems, trained drivers and safety belts for the top and rear decks. There will also be a guest relations executive on board and a mobile app which will guide you with a running commentary in several foreign languages as well.

The booking system is quite simple as you just have to login to your IRCTC account on their official portal and check out Tour packages for Goa under domestic destinations on their home page. After filling in the necessary details and making the payment, you will get an instant confirmation for the booking. This can be made upto 4 days prior to the tour date with minimum amount deducted for cancellations if required.
